How does TeleMed STARS telehealth video platform work for patients? Please click and watch the video above.

The telehealth consultation process is simple and straightforward. You do not need to download any App. Your appointment link sent to you by email enables you to directly access the high quality GDPR compliant telehealth video platform seamlessly at the scheduled time. You do also have the flexibility of rescheduling your appointments (See T&Cs below).

How the Platform Works

  • TeleMed STARS uses Cliniko, a secure, GDPR-compliant telehealth system, and enables secure telehealth appointments and consultations. 
  • TeleMed STARS Cliniko platform meets or exceeds all regulations of the GDPR (UK & EU), PIPEDA (Canada), HIPAA (USA), and the Australian Privacy Principles.
  • Book appointments up to 6 weeks ahead; full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • 60 minute standard session includes upto 50 minutes of video consultation plus 10 minutes for practitioner’s care administration.

 

Introductory Sessions

  • Free 10-minute ‘know your practitioner’ introductory session (no clinical advice or therapy) is available to familiarise clients with their chosen practitioners.

 

Appointments & Payment

  • Payment is processed securely via Stripe, and  email receipt is issued soon after the payment is processed.
  • Insurance is not accepted currently, but final payment invoices and reports are available upon request.
  • Clients can book multiple sessions with the same or different practitioners.

 

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Rescheduling is free when you cancel the appointment >24 hours prior to scheduled appointment.

  • Use the “Cancel” button in the appointment confirmation email and follow the prompts to reschedule without additional charges.
  • Forward the cancellation and reschedule confirmation emails to admin@telemedstars.co.uk to convert the reschedule slot to a standard 60 minutes session, with no additional charges.
  • Missed appointments (DNA) are neither refunded nor rescheduled. 

 

Practitioner Responsibility

  • TeleMed STARS hosts independent practitioners who are responsible for their own practice and services.
  • Medication is not prescribed on this platform. Consult a Psychiatrist for medication-based treatments.
